Proj-Net Release 2.0 Delivers Multiple Projects,
Web Site Security and Integrated Cost/Schedule Analysis

a new release of Proj-Net’s Project Management Tools. Dan Cornell, President
of Rational Concepts, reports, "Proj-Net 2.0 represents a major step in

Information housed in Proj-Net’s project web sites can be protected
by assigning limited access to individuals and groups of users. This security
feature allows companies to give cllients access to project web sites without
concern about exposing privileged information. Security can be limited
over the Internet and intranets.

Multi-Project Capabilities and the Administrator's Module
Proj-Net can now manage multiple projects. The number and scope of
the projects is limited only by a system's hardware and storage capacity.
The central management features offered by Proj-Net's new Administrator
Module make it possible to maintain multiple projects from a single, central
repository. The result is greater consistency among projects and reduced
cost.

Improved Project Cost Analysis
Project costs can be monitored even more precisely. In addition to
total actual costs and budgets, the cost metrics in Release 2.0 include
labor, material and other, miscellaneous costs. Variance reporting is available
for all cost categories.

Integrated Schedule and Cost Analysis
Expanded analysis features provide the ability to analyze critical
path and late activities and to understand the cost impact of schedule
slippage.

Java 2 Upgrade
With the upgrade to Java 2, screen loading and memory management are
twice as fast.
