Raytheon Chooses Proj-Net For Project with Navy
SAN DIEGO, CA —December 29, 1998 — Rational Concepts, Inc., a
developer of web-based project management software, announced the first
sale of Proj-Net: Tools For Project Management to Raytheon. Proj-Net is
an internet/intranet application that performs Risk Management, Technical
Performance Metrics, Web Collaboration, Cost/Schedule Metrics, Action Item
Coordination and Project Evaluations.
President of Rational Concepts, Dan Cornell, explained, "Raytheon immediately
understood that Proj-Net would give them distinct, competitive advantages
for managing complex projects. They are embarking on a large-scale systems
integration project for the Navy’s next-generation of LPDS-Class ships.
The project will involve hundreds of people and millions of dollars. Having
a complete repository of project information ranging from technical to
cost/schedule data is the ideal solution for them. The scope of project
is broad; involving several companies and many people in multiple locations.
The Internet is clearly the best way to keep everyone informed."
Proj-Net was installed and all of the preliminary data loaded in
a single week. Project implementation will occur early in January
of 1999. For more information on Proj-Net and what it can do for
