Overview
Proj-Net is a bold, new approach to project management. Using the web as its medium, Proj-Net is leading the way in delivering project information trapped at the desktop level to the masses - teams, departments, and the enterprise - for collaboration.
In order to keep all of your project participants on the same page you need a place where participants can access current project information. By providing an easy-to-use web interface Proj-Net allows a variety of users from project managers to executives to use a web browser to access project data for reporting and analysis.
Unlike the static web publishing features most project management software provides, Proj-Net gives users the ability to drill down through data to find the information that is particular to their role along with tools to manage that information. Executives can keep a handle on their portfolio of projects while Project managers analyze their individual projects to make sure that things are going according to plan. This unparalleled degree of communication and collaboration serves the information needs of everyone in the organization executives, team members and clients.

Project
Web Centers are easy to develop, maintain and use. Theres no
need for technical know how. Using simple techniques like point
and click or drag and drop project information is readily available
to all. Each project, team or department can have their own web
page consisting of a project repository, image, and message of the
day as well as user-defined links and tables. User-defined tables
can be created and populated within Proj-Net or imported in from
the desktop (examples include any spreadsheets like a vendor list,
important contacts, a deliverable list or product codes).
Schedule
Master uses information exported from leading desktop scheduling
systems such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan and Primavera to report
on schedule metrics. The information in Schedule Master becomes
a repository that serves as the foundation for further project analysis,
comparison and communication. Metrics are available by WBS and can
include a criticality index, late lists, Gantt charts, task lists
and graphics depicting planned starts and finishes versus actual
starts and finishes. Multiple schedule sources can be integrated
into a single repository. Schedule master is a great tool for management
oversight of current schedule information by executives, clients
and contractors.
Task Master is used to generate, assign and track action
items using your email system for statusing. Each task is defined
and assigned to a reviewer and performer. While the task is open,
Task Master systematically reviews its status and automatically
e-mails reminders about past due actions. Action Item reports such
as numbers of open, closed or late items are easy to create, post
and save. Task master is a great way to communicate and track tasks
that revolve around a project like software fault reporting and
report generation.
Cost
Master uses info regarding budget, actual costs, earned value
and forecast in dollars and man hours imported from systems such
as Microframe and Cobra to produce cost reporting metrics such as
SPI and CPI. Reports on head count and graphs of budget vs. actual
vs. forecast are easy to create. Cost Masters integrated information
provides technical managers with desktop access to current cost
information. Multiple cost sources can be integrated into a single
repository.
Risk Master maintains a database of issues and risks and
their assigned technical, cost and scheduling impact. All projects
have issues and risks and the key is to identify and track them
in order to manage them. Risks can be assigned degrees of impact
and probability factors. Users can create mitigation plans for each
assigned risk. Information from the risk database is available to
all project participants and email is used to keep participants
up to date.
Evaluation
Master generates reports that contain cost information and schedule
metrics combined with a managers subjective interpretation and corrective
actions. Technical managers use Evaluation Master to assess the
progress of individual project segments. The subjective element
consists of a status overview, accomplishments and issues. A traffic
light indicator (red, yellow, green) is used to clearly convey a
projects progress.
Metric Master is a technical metric tool that serves as
a projects metric yard stick. It is often used to establish and
track company-wide metrics. Information from any legacy system can
be used to import these metrics. Users define the performance measures
by which a project and its most important elements are evaluated
and Proj-Net provides the reporting.
